No more excuses, let’s start today!

8 Minutes Full Body Workout

The workout consists of 2 rounds of the same 6 exercises with a rest period of 15 seconds between rounds. There’s no rest between exercises. Get ready!

Squat (45 seconds)

Stand with your head facing forward and your chest held up. Place your feet shoulder-width apart or slightly wider. Sit back and down like you’re sitting in an imaginary chair. Keep your head facing forward as your upper body bends forward a bit. Lower down so your thighs are as parallel to the floor as possible, with your knees over your ankles. Press your weight back into your heels. Keep your body tight, and push through your heels to bring yourself back to the starting position.

Crossover mountain climbers (45 seconds)

Basheerah Ahmad: Workout Anywhere, Anytime!

Starts from a high plank (the starting pushup position), then alternate driving a knee towards your elbow. Your knee will cross your body as you drive your knee towards the opposite elbow. For more twists, you can even drive far outside your elbow twisting your torso on each repetition.

Single leg hip hinge (45 seconds)

Reach forward with arms, bending at hip while raising one leg behind with knee straight. Keep hips facing the floor. Synchronize movement so shoulders and legs move together.  Return to start position and repeat with another leg.

In and Outs (45 seconds)

In a V-like sitting position, extend your legs out and back in towards your chest. Keep your hands beside your hips or try putting them in the air in a ‘touch down’ or wide arm position.

Knee pushup or traditional pushup (45 seconds)

Begin with your chest on the ground. Pull your feet toward your butt. Your upper arm should form a 45-degree angle with your torso. Lower your body until your chest nears the floor at the bottom of the movement, and then return up to the starting position.

Kick outs (45 seconds)

Get down in a V-sitting position and bend your knees at a 90-degree angle and lift them (chest height). Your feet should be a foot above the floor. Lean back until your body is at a 45-degree angle from the floor and bend your arms so your fists are just below your chin. Lower your upper body and straighten and extend your legs at the same time. Keep your upper body 5 inches from the floor and don’t let your feet touch the ground. Crunch back up to the start position.

Rest 15 seconds & Repeat.

  • Crossover mountain climbers (45 seconds)
  • Single leg hip hinge (45 seconds)
  • In and Outs (45 seconds)
