We all want to look great. We all want that toned body with great-looking and healthy skin. So we spend hours working out and spend all of our money on beauty creams and moisturizers.
But did you know that what you put inside your body may actually be more important than products that you put on your skin?
Sounds crazy right? This means that regardless of how much you spend on products if you don’t feed your skin what it needs from your diet, your skin will never look its best. What does your skin need? Nutrients from your food!

They will help keep your skin healthy and looking even better from the inside out.
Berries, especially blueberries, have so many great health benefits and what’s more, is that they are also great for your skin. Berries are rich in vitamin C and high in antioxidants. Vitamin C is great for producing collagen, and we all know that collagen is what our body needs for firmer skin.
Berries can also fight off blemishes, leading to clearer skin due to their antioxidants properties. Furthermore, studies have shown that people who eat foods high in vitamin C from fruits and vegetables have fewer wrinkles than those who don’t include them in their diet.
Berries are great to eat as a snack and are an especially good snack for a road trip. This way you avoid eating unhealthy snacks such as chips and candy.
Eggs? Really? Who would have thought? The fact is that eggs are actually really good for your skin. They help your skin repair itself as they have lots of vitamin A. Eggs are also a great source of biotin which is a vitamin B. And if you want healthy skin and nails, biotin is essential.
And finally, the protein in eggs is a great source of amino acids which play an important part in improving the health of your skin. These amino acids are used to generate proteins such as collagen and elastin which strengthens your skin tissue.
And they are super easy to incorporate into your diet.

You may be asking yourself, what are orange foods? These include foods such as sweet potatoes, squash, and carrots. These orange foods are high in beta-carotene which gives them their orange color. But that’s not all it does. It also helps protect the skin from free radical damage.
They protect your skin from harmful sun damage and radiation and can actually reduce the scaling and roughness of the skin.
They are really easy to add to your diet too. Try replacing mashed potatoes with mashed sweet potatoes, and have squash and carrots as a side to your dinner. Raw carrots are also great for a snack.

Ok, well green tea is technically not food. But it still deserves a mention here as it is packed with antioxidants. This tea helps make your skin look healthier and younger.
What’s more, is that green tea is also great for reducing acne as it helps reduce levels of an acne-producing hormone called dihydrotestosterone.
According to studies, drinking green tea can also help prevent UVB-related skin damage and skin damage related to age.
If you’re suffering from sunburn, you can actually use chilled damp green tea bags to soothe the burn. Try substituting your second coffee for green tea.
Cabbage is really high in vitamin C. Most people don’t know this, but it actually contains more vitamin C than oranges! Cabbage helps heal damaged skin tissues and minimizes deep lines on your skin. It does this because of its high levels of vitamin A.
Cabbage can also help your skin look great and give that healthy glow as it is high in potassium. Potassium helps purify your body and skin and is high in vitamin E. Simply blend cabbage and wrap it in a cloth and apply to the skin for around 15 minutes.

Finally, it is really important to add more water to your diet.
Hydration is one of the most important things to get healthy skin so drink up and stay hydrated.
